Who we are
The Orsu-Obodo Indigenes in Diaspora comprises of the sons and daughters of Orsu-Obodo community, situated in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, who reside abroad. Their primary objective is to foster the development and advancement of their community. This group is characterised by a dedicated assembly of individuals who recognise the prevailing hardships and challenges faced both within their community and the broader nation. In response to these circumstances, they have united to explore effective means of alleviating local suffering. Their efforts are directed towards implementing developmental initiatives that provide significant benefits to the underprivileged and the community as a whole.
We are a community interest company dedicated to serving Orsu-Obodo Community. Our primary focus is on enhancing the progress and development of OrsuObodo. We fund and support projects, activities, events and all programmes designed to contribute positively to the lives of members of the community.
At Orsu-Obodo Indigenes in Diaspora, we focus on empowering our youth by offering education, mentorship, and skill building programs. Our aim is to equip them with the necessary tools for success, helping them evolve into the future leaders of our community.
